About Jeannette Duvall, M.S.O.M., L.Ac.

Jeannette Duvall, L. Ac., MSOM, Dipl. Oriental Medicine, is a licensed acupuncturist in Arizona with expertise in acupuncture and Chinese Herbs.

Jeannette believes that Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine, used together, have the potential to heal the patient.

Practice and Specialization

She practices Traditional Chinese Medicine, and specializes in treatments for pain, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal conditions, infertility and other women’s issues.

She has specialty training in post-stroke treatment and other neurological conditions, like ALS, under Dr. Shi Xue Min, and interned in HIV/AIDS treatment through the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS. She has treated patients for the side effects of HIV/AIDS and the side effects of their medication.

Education and Certifications

Jeannette has a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine from the Phoenix Institute of Oriental Medicine, is a National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Chinese herbs and acupuncture), and is one of only about one-hundred practitioners that are certified by the NCCAOM to prescribe herbs in Arizona. Is currently a magna cum laude candidate for Bachelors of Science in Education at Northern Arizona University.

She is a member of the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, NCCAOM, and has sat on the Assessment Board of the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. She has also volunteered for the Arizona Veterans Stand Down through Arizona Veterans Acupuncture Support (AVAS).

Outreach and Training

Jeannette has given presentations on “What is Oriental Medicine? and Tips for Use at Home” at the SW HIV/AIDS clinic, and has given a presentation on “What is Oriental Medicine: How it works” and “Korean Hand Therapy You Can Do at Home” for the Peoria High School CTE program.
